And so it begins…..

In 2010 we bought a little 5-acre farm creating a place children could come ride a pony of their dreams naming this venture Oregon Dream Ponies. Bob and I thought it would be a full little summertime adventure sharing ponies with children and their families. But along the way, something unexpected happened. When we first started, we introduced ourselves to the children as Mr. Bob and Ms. Kim. During a visit in the first year a little boy looked up at Bob as if he was talking to some famous movie star and asked if he was a “real” cowboy. The little boy had such hope in his eyes that I knew I had to tell him yes. I told the little boy that Mr. Bob is a real cowboy and we should call him Cowboy Bob. This caught Bob completely off guard but with 30 years of sales experience he was quick to respond with “If I am Cowboy Bob, then this is Cowgirl Kim!” That was the day we became Cowboy Bob & Cowgirl Kim.

So now fast forwarding a decade with so many experiences, stories and learnings we knew we needed to share with the world the joy we have found on our journey. The Joy Pathway is a place for us to share our evolution and help others find their joyful way. Here we will tell the stories of how people, animals and the land connect inspiring and transforming all of us from the inside out.

About Kim Taylor

Kim has always been drawn to working with and investing in children and animals. Her career started after graduating from Oregon State University with an advanced degree in mathematics. Kim taught mathematics at the middle school level and maintained a State of Oregon teaching license for many years. Kim has also home-schooled her own children, run a private daycare, and is a partner in TSS Photography specializing in sports/family and children’s photography.

Bob comes from a background in industry initially then transition to dedicate his efforts full time to Oregon Dream Ponies and TSS Photography. Bob brings over 30 years of sales experience in the Pacific Northwest to Oregon Dream Ponies and loves opportunity to give back to the community sharing with others!
